This is going to be a course with activities for the Erasmus+ project we run in our school from September 2018 until August 2021.

The topic of the project is "Change your life , open your mind" and our intention is to sensitize our students on social matters mostly those having to do with sensitive social groups like the refugees and help them understand the idea of accepting the different and include them in our community.

The first year we decided to work on human rights and help our students understand what they are and how important it is not to violate them.

By combining the engaging world of Pippi Longstocking with an inquiry-based, group-work approach we will address grammar and vocabulary appropriate for the students's level . The students will be exposed in authentic language and lead themselves to questioning, exploration, cooperation and creative expression with the use of new technology and digital tools.

General Objectives

- To develop the four skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) through authentic material.

- To reinforce vocabulary and grammar in a fun and experiential way.

- Cultivate a love of reading in English.

- To develop critical thinking and creativity through story-inspired activities.

- To become familiar with cultural elements derived from the book (e.g. games, lifestyle).

- To foster a culture of cooperation

- Το develop digital skills
